It can be incredibly frustrating whenever you’re about to grab your phone and get a picture of something interesting and a second later, your phone dies. Wanna know why your iPhone battery drains fast? Use these 3 tips to diagnose your iPhone’s battery problems. Note: These tips are also applicable to iPad battery life.
TIP 1: Refresh
Go to Settings > Battery, then have a look at your Battery Usage to look for the culprit. If you noticed an application (app) with high background usage, then you may have solved your problem. Go into Settings > General > Background App Refresh and turn off background refresh for that specific app.
TIP 2: Push Email
Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > New Data and temporarily disable Push and see if that helps.
TIP 3: Deleting/Disabling Apps Notification
Always delete apps you don’t use much. On the other hand, For apps you don’t use that much, disable features such as notifications.
Method 1: Disable application notifications. How to do that? Simply go to Settings, then Notifications, and select an application that you do not use often. Once you have chosen an app that you don’t use much, disable the app’s notification by turning off allow notifications. Your iPhone will no longer alert you with notifications from this app; thus, this will boost your iPhone’s battery life.
Method 2: Disable Location services. So, how do you do that? Easy peasy! Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, and turn off Location Services. A quick reminder that certain applications such as Uber and Waze requires your iPhone to enable Location Services, so if you need to use these apps, remember to turn back your location services on!
